Struggles with Re-writing

April 25, 2025

Upon returning, I planned to jump right into examining and incorporating feedback on "Lullaby for Winnie." I had notes from several conversations, and a few valid points kept nagging at me—points that would likely involve a major rewrite of what many consider already a pretty good draft.

Stepping back, I know there's always room for improvement. However, attempting these changes has been more painful and challenging than anticipated. I'm unsure if I'm struggling to get back into writing mode or if I simply don't "feel" the new direction. With the readings approaching, focusing is certainly challenging.

Despite these difficulties, I'm determined to complete a draft incorporating these ideas within three days. Then I can shift my focus to my Golem play. I want to get my mind off the plays about to be red so I can look at them with a fresh lens during the rehearsals.
